Growing up in Wappingers Falls, Erin Prunty, DDS, always wanted her dental practice located in the Hudson Valley. Taconic Dental opened four years ago, ready to care for families with state-of-the-art technology, including an intra-oral scanner, which reduces the need for gooey impressions. “What really makes me happy is taking someone who has always been afraid of the dentist and giving them a good experience,” Dr. Prunty says. “It’s very rewarding when a patient tells you they are no longer afraid.” She and her team care for all the general dentistry needs of families in Hopewell Junction and the surrounding area. Dr. Prunty has a television in every room to keep patients relaxed. She regularly takes continuing education classes and is very involved with the local dental society, where she serves on the board.
