OUR MISSION
We are committed to realizing our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
HOW WE MAKE AN IMPACT
The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. Our services include a 24/7 helpline at 800.272.3900, care consultations with master’s-level clinicians, educational and social programs for caregivers and the general public, and support groups and safety services for people with dementia. The largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer’s research in the world, we also lobby for legislation to aid people living with the disease and caregivers.
GIVING OPPORTUNITIES
We offer a variety of opportunities to support our mission. Donations, including estate or planned gifts, can be made at alz.org/donate. You can also start a team and participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Find your local Walk at hudsonvalleywalks.org. Use your creativity and passion to raise funds through The Longest Day at alz.org/tld or take the plunge into a frozen lake at Subzero Heroes, subzeroheroes.org.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Alzheimer’s Association relies on dedicated volunteers to achieve our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. We seek committed, passionate volunteers to educate the public, raise awareness, lead support groups, provide social engagement, Walk to End Alzheimer’s, participate on committees, fundraise, and advocate.
