—Charlie Pane, Outreach & Engagement Manager (Ulster County)
CCE puts knowledge to work in pursuit of economic vitality, ecological sustainability, and social well-being. We bring local experience and research-based solutions together, helping NYS families and communities thrive in our rapidly changing world.
Cornell Cooperative Extension works to keep New York State a vibrant place to live, work, and recreate through education and outreach in a wide variety of areas from food and nutrition to economic vitality to environmental and social resilience. We connect communities with Cornell research and expertise to empower our neighbors, local businesses, towns, and cities. CCE educators work to support individuals and families with raising children, saving energy and money, growing and preparing food, starting and sustaining businesses, and protecting the environment.
Unrestricted contributions from members of our communities enable us to rapidly innovate, iterate, and implement research-based programs and services to respond to the needs of our community. Some programs may accept in-kind contributions of goods or services; inquire at your county’s CCE office.
Volunteering with CCE is a great way to get involved in your community, receive research based educational support, utilize your talents, and spread the education to Hudson Valley residents. Opportunities include Master Gardener Volunteers, 4-H, environment and invasive species outreach, and more.
Each Cornell Cooperative Extension association is an independent employer that is governed by an elected Board of Directors with general oversight from Cornell. These are the Executive Directors for the Hudson Valley offices and their websites to learn about their Board of Directors.
