Our Mission:
The Ossining Children’s Center creates a foundation for children’s life-long achievement and wellbeing by providing high quality, educational child care.
How We Make an Impact:
Thousands of children have developed the foundational skills they need for success in school and in life thanks to the Ossining Children’s Center. Children ages 8 weeks through 12 years receive top-notch care and education from OCC’s talented and loving staff. We are open Monday through Friday, 7 am to 6 pm, year-round, to meet the needs of working families. OCC offers two sections of the Ossining Public Schools’ full-day
universal prekindergarten program. Also in partnership with the School District, OCC provides child care and mentoring for teen mothers who intend to complete high school.
Giving Opportunities:
Your support for our tuition assistance program enables low, income parents to stay employed, while giving their children first-rate care, early childhood education and/or after-school enrichment. Donations of cash, stock, and ongoing monthly support are all appreciated. Bequests ensure that OCC will continue its work for decades to come.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers can help in a variety of ways. In our classrooms, you can help by reading to children, helping with homework, working with youngsters on arts and crafts projects, or sharing a special skill that you have (e.g., chess, music, dance, crafts, cooking). You can help with PR, marketing, fundraising, or advocacy regarding public policy and funding.
