At the Hotel Kinsley, Zak Pelaccio and Taavo Somer (of NYC’s iconic Freemans) have pulled off the seemingly impossible: They’ve managed to create a restaurant that’s buzzy, impeccably styled, and yet, somehow, feels laid back and unpretentious. And while the design gets all the Instagram love — the historic bank building has been completely renovated with rust-colored booths and lush banana plants — the dining is what’s truly noteworthy, from the wine list to the strip steak with chicories and poached figs.
