Mount Saint Mary College

Many Mount Saint Mary College students and alumni alike tell us they knew the Mount was the right college for them during their very first visit to campus. Most say what drew them in is the college’s friendly, family-like atmosphere, while others point to the views of the Hudson River from campus, or our dedication to service in the surrounding community. Through our 45+ academic programs, students develop their passions, craft their skills, and find their purpose.

From Nursing and Education, to Business and more, Mount students enjoy hands-on classwork in all of the college’s academic programs. Students learn in state-of-the-art facilities including nursing simulation labs, science labs, and a video production studio, plus future teachers can develop their skills in a K-8 school right on campus. Throughout their college journey, our students are aided by support staff: Providing academic support through the Writing Center and tutoring services; aiding your transition with the guidance of our Academic Coaches and First-Year Experience program; and prioritizing your health through the Student Wellness Center. Thanks to our connections with dozens of local hospitals and school districts, as well as connections to the Hudson Valley, New York City, and beyond, Mount students take what they learn in the classroom and put it to practical use in a variety of professional, real-world situations.

With 20 Division III sports teams, student athletes can continue their high school sports careers without missing a beat – or even try something new! There’s also plenty of academic and non-academic clubs on campus, so whatever your interests are, we’ve got you covered.

Founded by the Dominican Sisters of Newburgh in 1959, the Dominican Pillars of service, study, community, and spirituality are woven into the Mount’s DNA.
